Marketing Manager – Franchise Signage/Packaging

SUMMARY
Brand Manager (similar to Agency Account Manager) for retailer seasonal/branding signage.

Includes:
New franchise signage/packaging programs caused by changes in business
Updates to existing signage/packaging systems
Oversee all franchise/packaging programs, including, but not limited to, denim for all divisions, active for all divisions, khaki for adult divisions, third party product partnerships, and all packaging requests
Manages Senior Coordinator
Manages requests and version control for both US/English and Canada/French markets.
Key liaison with internal Marketing team (Design, Editorial, Technical Production, Print Production) and cross-functional partners (Merchants, Visual Merchandising, Operations, Communications, Legal).
Operate as objective partner to lead creative development that delivers on objective and within budget.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Kick-Off
Pre-season planning with Director & Merchants to develop signage/packaging strategies & messaging
Schedule and facilitate quarterly packaging request meeting with merchant leadership
Develop creative brief, including customer insights and competitive landscape, to formally kick-off with internal Marketing team
Develop timeline, outlining actions/tasks at key milestones
Schedule and lead kick-off meeting with internal Marketing team, present creative brief and timeline

Creative Development
Schedule and present at internal creative reviews; Includes weekly reviews with internal Marketing cross-functional team and Marketing leadership
Schedule and present at creative shareouts with cross-functional partners (Merchants, Visual Merchandising) to confirm product and price. Provide Marketing POV, drive consensus and communicate out key decisions and responsibilities for next milestone
Shepherd timelines throughout entire creative development for assigned programs
Regularly communicate out program status, deliverables at next milestone and elevate/red flagged timing issues to team/director
Submit all naming and artwork for legal clearance
Support Creative team when necessary by gathering product samples

Production
Facilitate final file handoff from internal Creative team to Technical Production team
Proof all artwork versions at all file handoffs; manage version control
Facilitate any store set-ups to test new signage idea

Field Communication
Attend and update weekly Marketing Status with internal Communications team to keep them abreast of upcoming program launches
Partner with Communications and Operations internal teams to draft field communications for successful program launches; Appropriately plan for field workload implications
Ensure Marketing materials are produced and posted in mock store for monthly leadership walk-thrus

Additional
Support Senior Coordinator through development and execution for packaging and other projects/responsibilities
Provide recommendations for tools and resources that allow for greater efficiency
Hindsight programs for future key learnings
Monthly competitive shopping. Share findings with internal Marketing team
Anticipate issues and provide practical solutions
Flexibile to support the other 2 in-store managers for various programs to balance overall team workload
