Marketing Launch Manager

Are you an amazing project manager with a passion for consumer marketing? Do you want to work on some of the coolest new products? Are you ready to spend some late nights to bring them to market?

We are looking for a project manager who can lead many of the new programs in the retail online marketing team. This is a tactically oriented role which requires someone who can deeply understand execute effectively against our Retail strategy. The ideal candidate would be a “task master”, but it is expected that the candidate will spend more time working with others on their execution strategy vs. working in MS Project all day.

The Marketing Launch Manager will:

Launch Project Coordination
1. Create overall launch timeline based on the go to market plan and key product milestones; coordinate with various stakeholders to get commitment and ensure delivery against those milestones.
2. Work across multiple agencies to coordinate efforts, ensure agencies deliver against their committed deadlines and ensure Microsoft stakeholders provide feedback on creative reviews.

Field Marketing Coordination
3. Work with subsidiary leads in key markets to understand their market and help them build a launch execution plan based on corporate strategy; follow up with leads to ensure they execute against the committed plan.
4. Work with subsidiary leads in key markets to help them translate our overall strategy into tactical go-do’s for their market; work with them on a weekly basis to ensure execution against that plan and to help them to find creative solutions for challenges and blockers to the plan.
5. Coordinate content from internal subject matter experts and run a weekly call to brief the digital field teams worldwide on strategy and upcoming priorities.
6. Build a process and manage ad-hoc requests for customization and coordinate changes with our in-house design team or with production agencies.
7. Assist with developing execution guidance, sell in presentations and collecting market research.

Seasonal and Launch Execution:
8. Work with syndication partners to push them to land content at more retail accounts; make introductions between syndicators and retailers to kick off new relationships.
9. Translate strategy into creative briefs for the execution team to make updates to the “Retail Experience Center” online retail showcase.
10. Review key retail partner’s websites on a seasonal basis against an audit scorecard, provide strategic guidance for the execution teams to work against and follow up to ensure changes are made.
11. Upload creative files to ProSource asset repository as needed

Qualifications
5 to 10 years Agency and marketing services related experiences.

Degree required
Highly skilled in project management-known for ability to keep work flowing while minimizing problems or delays.
Effective communicator both orally and written

Understanding Consumers
Possessing a thorough knowledge and understanding of the nature and significance of consumer's lifestyles, attitudes, behaviors, desires and preferences in relation to purchasing, owning and using PCs, consumer services, and technology.

Understanding the Online Retail Market
Possessing a knowledge of online retailing challenges and opportunities and an ability to match retailer objectives with the Company's core strategy. Understanding of the role of a consumer electronics “vendor” to an online retailer. Ability to spot key trends and insights in the online retail space.

Relating and Networking
Establishes strong relationships & collaborates effectively with colleagues, partners and customers. Builds wide and useful networks of contacts inside and outside the organization. Manages conflict and relates well to people at all levels, purposely seeking contacts and maintaining a dialogue with key parties.
