Marketing Events & Sponsorships Consultant

We are seeing a consultant to support the Events, Sponsorships and Promotions marketing group within the Brand team at our Fortune 500 client. The position will support developing and executing the enterprise events, sponsorships and promotions marketing strategy.
In this role, you will work in conjunction with a team of strategists, event planners, agencies and vendors responsible for providing guidance and partnering with a variety of functional areas to enhance existing initiatives and identify new opportunities, both domestically and internationally. You will: identify and execute on opportunities to increase penetration within existing clients, customers and both assist with and create an overarching strategy for global, national and community sponsorships; support investor, client, broker and potentially different types of B2B, broker and business owner on-site /off-site meetings; as well as support our client as a thought leader by establishing their presence in outside conferences and speaking engagements.

The successful candidate will have experience in the events and sponsorships area as well as marketing and brand/marketing communications. Key also is a strong understanding of business-to-business marketing, as well as direct-to-consumer engagement marketing in a highly regulated industry. Agency business development experience is a plus, coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset to create partnerships, promotions and sponsorships not traditionally seen in their space. In addition, s/he should have experience in business case development to gain support for new initiatives, as well as ability to establish measurements and metrics to determine program effectiveness.

The role requires that you be able to operate effectively in a highly matrixed global organization and collaborate with a team of professionals establishing strong relationships, effectively communicating, and proactively executing project plans.

The role will support the development of a long-term strategy; find new ways to drive efficiency within existing programs and the courage to make recommendations to improve long-standing practices. You will also be accountable for understanding regulatory and industry compliance issues in order to provide ideas, program and promotional concepts that the Brand and overall Marketing area can effectively execute.

Key Responsibilities

-Support the development of strategy and execution of core enterprise sponsorships including a variety of events, as well as involvement in the evaluation, strategy and execution of global opportunities in the sponsorship space.

-Support the development of executive-level reports and recommendations on sponsorships programs and events based on effectiveness, including measurement of ROI.

-Support local markets with sponsorship negotiations to extract the most value and ensure effective ways to measure success.

-Enhance promotions initiatives to engage consumers in new channels, including but not limited to the Mobile Learning Lab (English and bi-lingual English/Spanish).

-Support creating new programs at a global, local or regional level in partnerships and sponsorships with potential business partners and co-branding opportunities that leverage channels and provide measurable ways for Marketing and Sales to effectively reach and engage its key audiences and build relationships.

-Support Investor’s Conferences as needed from message development, content and theme creation, event management and on-site execution.

-Ensure development of tools and processes to track activities and oversee maintenance of dashboards, program evaluations, reports, budget and other departmental functions.
