Marketing Director - APAC

Firebrand are yet again partnering with this leading medical devices for the search for a Marketing Director across APAC. Based in Sydney, with both local and international
travel this role will see you directing the planning, positioning and strategic marketing direction of their products across the APAC region. Reporting directly to the Global VP of marketing
the role has the responsibility for ensuring future products meet the regions requirements which requires active envelopment in the identification of market requirements, product definition and the product development process.

Key objectives

• Manage the identification of new product and market requirements
• Create detailed business cases and propositions that support their incorporation into the relevant Product Development RoadMaps
• Champion the projects of interest to AsiaPac from time of initial proposal to time of release
• Maintain effective communication with Global Product Marketing and Product Development teams
• Oversee the development of country/regional product marketing plans, product launch strategies, ramp plans and tools to maximise market impact of each new product
• Coordinate specific marketing objectives, programmes and policies across the region within the context of the overall corporate plan and objectives
• Liaise with Operations to establish effective and efficient processes within the region to ensure continual supply of product or minimise the impact of disruptions to supply
• Support the Country Managers with strategic marketing input, data analysis and tools for growing their business
• Direct and coordinate the development and management of the brand within the region ensuring consistency and conformity with the global brand management strategy and objectives
• Develop and maintain relationships with key business partners, industry associations and government bodies
• Ensure all business activities comply with relevant QA, legal, regulatory and ethical demands
• Maintain support of the significant number of countries
• Actively coach and mentor individual talent to facilitate their development and build a depth of competency within the region

Key requirements
• Extensive experience within a similar level role
• Senior level experience leading region wide new product development and delivery
• Highly innovative with the ability to search for new and highly effective ways to deliver core objectives
• Maintaining support of the significant number of countries
• Experience working within a complex marketing and product lead business
• Strong mentorship experience driving teams to continued success
• Professionals with medical devices backgrounds is essential
