Marketing Digital Asset Manager

Our client, a Fortune 500 creative design software client, is looking for an experienced Marketing Digital Asset Manager in San Jose for a 6-9 month contract opportunity.

The Marketing Digital Asset Manager will be responsible for the continuing development and daily management of the Digital Asset Management system. Duties will include daily publication of global marketing assets, responding to support requests and questions, maintenance of the DAM taxonomy and metadata, and report generation and publication.

Job Responsibilities:
• Content Management

o Drive policies and procedures for cataloging digital assets and assigning proper asset metadata in the marketing digital asset library.
o Acquire and publish new assets to the DAM—including new asset versions and renditions. Assign all required metadata tags and verify that required use restrictions and asset expiration are captured.
o Govern digital asset quality control. Execute content audits to monitor and enforce compliance of naming taxonomies, metadata schema, folder cataloging, etc.

o Coach digital asset publishers on an ongoing basis: provide metadata and taxonomy guidance, troubleshoot system issues, document tips & tricks, and communicate publishing process changes.
o Partner with marketing stakeholders to refine and further develop the metadata schema and taxonomy as required.

• System/Technical Management
o Provide phone and email support for system users worldwide. Prioritize production support requests and system maintenance queue.
o Manage user licenses and permissions: approve and create new external vendor accounts, authorize account upgrades, assign access rights, manage user security groups, etc.
o Review and test system configurations, customizations, and upgrades. Execute standard system modifications such as configure metadata fields, alter user groups, add activity types, and update global marketing calendar.
o Manage system website: document alerts, update FAQs, publish reports, post training resources, etc.

• Reporting Management

o Establish and maintain a set of standardized asset creation and asset usage reports. 

o Manage the distribution and publication of asset reports (weekly and monthly).

o Create and run ad hoc reports.


• 5+ years in marketing 

• Familiarity with marketing asset types (ads, emails, packaging, collateral, etc.). Familiarity with creative software programs and file types (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and PDF) is a plus
• Experience working with digital asset management repositories or content management systems is desired.
• Experience classifying/cataloging and metadata-tagging assets, documents and/or web pages.

• Ability to work cross-functionally across company's marketing units and with external marketing agencies.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.

• Strong written and phone communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.

• BA required
