Marketing Data/Business Analyst

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Data/Business Analyst to help drive revenue and profit growth through the delivery of accurate weekly dashboards to Marketing Leaders. The Ideal candidate will have proven experience automating dashboards and providing real-time data visualization through Tableau.

The Marketing Data Analyst will:
• Interpret large volumes of data to tease out actionable insights and tell a meaningful story that makes complex business problems seem simple.
• Provide consistent, relevant weekly dashboards to provide a strong foundation for deep dives that diagnose the health of the business and drive new business growth.
• Marry data (manually or through APIs) across various marketing channels and data warehouses to produce a holistic view of the customer experience.
• Partner with technical data analysts and software engineers to automate reporting of KPIs.
• Provide business planners and decision makers with data driven insights and customer behavior analysis to identify underserved markets and new business opportunities.
• Where warranted, advocate for exploration of interesting data anomalies or patterns that may uncover customer insights and predict customer behaviors that drive growth or signal trouble.
• Understand the business and deliver 2nd & 3rd level business monitoring analytics, i.e., conversion metrics by browser, geography, and channel or product usage by feature.
• Drive independent or team-oriented business analytic projects that address complex business questions.
• Translate business questions into hypotheses amenable to data exploration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders in acting on complex, multi-source data sources to explore, generate, and test business assumptions.
• Lead teams in complex analytical initiatives combining data from multiple sources to extract meaning, reconcile assumptions, and identify a logical path for action.
• Exercise independent judgment in leveraging business domain knowledge and selecting the analytical tools and programming required for insight generation.
• Identify new technical requirements, and test/ troubleshoot new product data capture functionality.
• Apply and conform to existing data standards and quality criteria to monitor and ensure system reporting quality.
• Execute routine data capture processes and data queries.
• Effectively translate analytical findings into the language of decision makers; communicate findings effectively supported by visual representations.
• Leverage strong business acumen and business domain knowledge to anticipate business inquiries.
• Work with technical staff to test and maintain the accurate tracking, capturing or reporting functionality of existing systems, software, or web services.

• This is a 4-5 month, full-time, W-2 contract position located in Mountain View, CA
• This position is not eligible for telecommute or offsite work
