Marketing Creative Director

Manages and leads a team of in-house creative and is responsible for generating innovative creative that increases brand awareness, customer transactions and sales while upholding the design integrity of all in-house marketing communications. Provides visionary and strategic direction to the creative team, oversees the development of integrated concepts, and ensures seamless creative execution.

Major Areas of Responsibility
Directs and oversees the development of high quality, strategy driven work that breaks through to the customer, maintains and enhances the brand image, and delivers against the marketing objectives of seasonal programs, grand openings, store design, social/digital content, and other marketing initiatives.

Oversees the development of integrated concepts and ensures their seamless execution across marketing channels and vehicles that can include but are not limited to print, in-store collateral, direct mail, email and interactive.
Drives the brand forward through proactive partnerships and collaborations with Marketing Management (Brand and Channels) and external agencies. Seeks out and remains current on industry and design trends as they apply to brand building and customer experience in order to advance the creative with fresh insight and thinking.

Proactively partners with: Project Management and Production Managers to maximize effectiveness of work flow and process; with Internal Departments such as Store Design and Fashion Council to collaborate and work together in sharing fashion and design information that reflects and supports the brand and the brand vision.

Partners with Brand on fiscal responsibility and ensures projects are produced on budget; recommends staffing needs/structure and investment in freelance staff.

Oversees the management and execution of high level photo shoots. Contributes to concept development and executes effective, precise copy.

Builds an effective in-house creative team. Develops, trains and motivates members of that department

Special projects as assigned.

Minimum formal education, if any, required to perform this job e.g., Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Law Degree).

Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Commercial Art or Design or equivalent job experience

Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong interpersonal skills, computer software packages).

Proven ability to articulate creative vision to a team.

Proven talent and strong design sense (several well produced, big idea campaigns)
Proven understanding of store design and visual merchandising
Proven ability to work in all mediums
Thinks and articulates both verbally and visually
Proven ability to effectively present ideas to marketing teams
Highly skilled at persuading others
Ability to juggle multiple projects
Intelligent thinking, strong organizational skills and accuracy
Proven ability as a problem solver and to take the initiative to solve issues
Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Has managed a creative staff of 6-8 people

10 years of related work experience at internal or external agencies
3+ years leading creative teams for multiple accounts for extended period on single account
