Aquent has a great opportunity for someone with copywriting and project coordination experience!!! We’re seeking a Full Time Contract Marketing Copywriter/Project Coordinator to come on board to write, edit and manage the coordination of direct mail and email marketing campaigns for a publishing company located in the northern Chicago suburbs. In this position, you will support execution of direct mail and email promotional campaigns based on marketing plan goals. You will coordinate roughly 90 campaigns for publishing marketing programs from concept to launch including definition of objective, copywriting, project management, participation in list selection and analysis of campaign results. You will work with external vendors and internal departments. Responsibilities: • Job is 40% copy writing and 60% project management • Assist in executing marketing plans and coordination of promotional objectives • Translate objectives to effective marketing campaigns • Work in conjunction with manager to monitor campaign progress, prepare reporting, and communicate results • Analyze results and recommend changes to strategy where necessary • Develop understanding of the market and competitive environment including: market size, market share, competitive strategies, product offerings, pricing patterns, new product and technology trends, customer needs and purchase behavior. • May perform other duties as assigned by management • Will need to work closely with other internal departments. Qualifications: BA/BS Marketing and/or Communications, with three plus years in planning and executing, direct mail, and e-marketing campaigns in support of marketing programs. Focus on business-to-business campaigns with proven results preferred. Computer Skills: Experienced in Microsoft Office and proficient in Excel. Other Skills, Abilities or Qualifications: • Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate product features into customer benefits • Familiarity with marketing techniques • Ability to work independently • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with solid work ethic • For the project management end--paperwork/forms will be filled out/spreadsheets populated • Attention to details and accuracy is key for the project management • Creative copywriting is encouraged, though projects need to be turned around quickly • Self-motivated individual who can multitask, wear several different hats, learn quickly and is not afraid to ask questions
