Marketing Copywriter (full time contract)

Our well know education company is looking for a fantastic marketing Copywriter to join the team in Boston, MA. This client is a leading global provider of educational technology, content and services for the higher education, K-12 and library markets.

This person will be a part of the Content & Creative team and we’re looking for someone who has a strong love for writing and an understanding of the education market. You will be working with marketing and corporate counterparts and this person will write copy for a spectrum of assets, transforming strategy into lively content designed to engage customers. We’re looking for someone who is experienced writing emails, landing pages, web content, banners, blogs, video scripts, collateral and more—all while properly staying within brand voice and content guidelines.
Our new marketing Copywriter will gain experience communicating with both instructor and student audiences.

Responsibilities:
* Create clear, engaging and consistent content for a variety of marketing campaigns designed to cultivate customer relationships and generate revenue
* grammatical accuracy and editing messages to ensure clarity with a consistent style and voice throughout all content. We’re looking for someone who can proofread copy and review page layouts with a keen attention to detail
* Write for multiple channels and formats including: emails, landing pages, websites, blogs, flyers, presentations, social media, reports, surveys, events and direct mail
* Collaborate with the creative team about overall design that will convey brand spirit
* Be able to adopt style, tone and voice for different campaigns and audiences
* Occasionally, conduct interviews and research, and be able to write on unfamiliar topics as needed
* Work independently and manage simultaneous projects with many moving parts
* Listen well when engaging with stakeholders and incorporate feedback to meet goals while remaining consistent with the company brand
* Upload content to corporate systems as needed, including our website

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, journalism or related discipline
* proven professional writing experience
* proven experience creating marketing assets
* exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
* A strong attention to detail
* Communicate well, work well with others and at time, independently
* experience with AP Stylebook and Chicago Manual of Style conventions
* Collaborate well in teams while maintaining ownership and accountability for one’s own work
* Represent the company as in a fun, positive and enthusiastic way
* Must be proficient Microsoft Office Suite, and enjoy technology, including cloud collaboration tools, web content management systems, social media platforms and digital asset management systems
* A champion for the written word
