Our top education client is seeking a Marketing Copywriter and PR Specialist adept at writing styles
appropriate for nontraditional learners looking for educational opportunities. This position will assist in
content development and delivery for a variety of external marketing and communication needs. This
position will report to the Communications Manager but will interface with all university departments and
administrative staff. This is a contract-to-hire administrative-professional position, located in
Greenwood Village, Colorado.
Job Functions
• Develop content that aligns with the university’s external communication strategies
• Publish a minimum of one post per week on the university’s blog and assist in its creation,
scheduling, and administration to provide prospective students with in-depth and useful content
that is relevant to their personal and professional goals
• Script videos, radio spots, and other multimedia for digital and advertising use
• Assist in the strategic marketing and communication planning of university initiatives and public
relations; including the effective development and delivery of announcements and press releases
• Oversee communication efforts (newsletters, PR, webpages, media bloggers, etc.) with CSU-
Global alumni, partner organizations, and other institutions
• Identify opportunities for inclusion and contributions by CSU-Global as an industry thought leader
within external publications and websites
• Build brand consistency and recognition through specialized focus on superior content creation
and distribution
• Help develop and update company messaging
• Manage the creative review process with key internal clients and regulatory.
• Drive to increase level of consistent brand expression and integrity across all marketing solutions
and university departments (enrollment, academics, financial services, etc.)
Requirements
• 1-2 years experience in marketing communications
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a related field
• Experience creating effective content for general audiences
• Ability to work effectively alone and in teams to meet organizational objectives
• Analytical approach to problem solving and strategic planning
• Superior communication, editing, and proofreading skills
• Proven ability to multitask with changing project priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and
highly dynamic environment
• Self-starter able to contribute through a value-added mindset
• Willingness to pitch story ideas when required
• Highly proficiency in Microsoft Office and other desktop publishing software
• Full-time office presence required
Desirable Skills
• Previously blog, marketing, or social media content development experience
• Experience working within a web-based CMS
• Understanding of the principles and implementation of SEO from a content perspective
• Familiarity with HTML coding
