Marketing Coordinator (Pharmaceutical Industry)

The Marketing Coordinator will also assist the Strategic Segment Marketing team in its efforts to help the Retail Sales organization more effectively acquire and retain independent pharmacy customers. His/her marketing projects may involve working with multiple business units, executives, outside consulting agencies and external customer audiences.

Key Responsibilities
The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Strategic Segment Communications and other members of the Strategic Segment Marketing team to support activities in several core areas:

Segment Calendar
• Maintain and manage the 12-month rolling Independent Pharmacy Segment marketing calendar. Activities include: (1) ensure calendar always reflects the most recent information on product launches, campaigns, events, etc.; (2) utilize Excel, Trello and other tools to create meaningful monthly and ad-hoc reports that summarize the quantity, frequency and focus of activities on the calendar; (3) communicate with stakeholders to get/give updates

Segment Communication
• Provide project management for campaigns, events, Field requests, and other activities the Retail marketing function supports to meet deadlines and keep projects on track. Activities include: scheduling calls and meetings; documenting discussions; managing POs, etc.
• Assist Strategic Segment Marketing team with creating marketing communications including: drafting project plans; submitting marketing requests to Creative Services; building presentations; copywriting and proofing materials, emails and digital content; updating websites using content management system; attending events, etc.
• Work with Creative Services and other teams to maintain a repository of current, key collateral, content, and promotional program materials for the ISMC segment
• Collaborate with Health Mart Brand Strategy and Design to maintain a repository of current Health Mart images, icons, etc.

Sales Enablement
• Partner with Retail Marketing team to maintain and update Health Mart Sales Tool app content (messages, info, links, videos, forms, etc.) and, on a monthly basis, summarize and report on the most/frequently accessed content
• Coordinate Field requests to customize a template advertisement for regional pharmacy publications, events, etc., in collaboration with Field Marketing
• Work with Strategic Segment Communications team to keep content updated in “build-your-own” slide presentation and proposal templates and answer questions/requests from the Sales
• Assist Field Marketing in maintaining and updating pages, documents and Retail Weekly Wire postings in Fetch, the internal-facing website for the Sales organization
• Help Field Marketing to collect and synthesize competitive intelligence and to create and distribute monthly report

Minimum Requirements
1-3 years of marketing experience

Critical Skills
• Strong attention to detail with accuracy and consistency
• Ability to organize large amounts of information
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks where deadlines frequently shift
• Experience identifying roadblocks and appropriately/proactively escalating issues
• Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and build effective relationships with a wide range of people
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Moderate data entry and analytic capabilities (e.g., v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
• Fast-learning, problem-solver with a “will do” attitude

Additional Knowledge & Skills
• Experience working with an advertising / marketing agency is a plus
• Knowledge of healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry
• Experience working with and updating website materials
• Email blast software experience (e.g., MailChimp, Marketo, Constant Contact, etc)
• Experience in digital communication (e.g., content management, blogs, social media, writing, etc.)

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
