The Email Marketing Coordinator role is responsible for building, executing and continuously improving email marketing campaigns and is responsible for the day-to- day, hands-on execution of email marketing programs in support of company initiatives. This includes ownership of the email calendar, set up, and maintenance. Additionally, this individual maintains a current understanding of email marketing best practices and applies them to the execution of our email campaigns in collaboration with the Email Marketing Manager. This position is accountable for assisting with meeting traffic, revenue, costs and KPI targets. This person will work closely with our Marketing, Creative, Web, Product Merchandising and IT teams.
-Continue to find ways to improve and bring efficiency to the email channel so that we can maximize profitability.
-Assist with conceptualizing, developing and executing the Exact Target templates.
-Execute email testing with creative subject lines and ensure collaboration with other departments.
-Create email campaigns, assist with determining the target audience, monitoring data, scheduling the email campaign, and tracking the results to see whether or not it was successful.
-Assist with development, execution, of email marketing campaigns, ensuring all campaigns are aligned with overall email marketing strategy and company’s promotional roadmap
-Maintain the email subscriber database including list hygiene, privacy and opt-in/opt- out standards.
-Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution, as required.
-Build email campaigns and quality assurance of all outbound campaigns, scheduling, testing, tagging & deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
-Own the email calendar and ensure is it is kept up to date and accurate.
-Possess knowledge of HTML coding, as well as have experience with marketing automation solutions ExactTarget.
-Keep the email daily campaign report and spend/profitability up-to- date and accurate.
-In addition to daily click activity reporting and general reports provide a weekly email report that tracks overall email performance, click activity, top performers and trends. Provide summary and recommend any improvements or changes based on these results.
-Maintain HTML templates, subscriber lists, SQL queries, and automated programs.
-Assist with testing calendars, execution of testing key email components (subject lines, template formats, creative variations, time of day, day of week) and partner with cross-functional teams to apply key findings and improve email performance.
-Assist with building and strengthening relationships with key internal and external contacts.
-Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
-Experience – 1+ years in online marketing, specifically email marketing and other online marketing channels with hands-on experience working with enterprise-level Email Service Providers.
-An understanding of email/ web marketing and metrics including email best practices.
-Strong computer skills – must be familiar with Microsoft Office. Intermediate Excel experience preferred.
-Excellent organization, written and interpersonal skills with experience writing and optimizing ad copy
-Must demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects under challenging time constraints
-Ability to handle multiple assignments and tight deadlines
-Should work professionally with inter-departments; management
-Must be self-motivated, proactive; work on projects individually as well as in a team environment
-Ability to develop and execute successful campaigns while having the flexibility to make changes and quickly adapt to changing business needs.
