Marketing Coordinator

seeking a marketing coordinator to provide support to the firm’s Marketing Department in a wide range of business development and marketing activities, working closely with the Public Relations and Practice Area Managers, as well as the Mid-Atlantic Marketing Manager. Demonstrated interest or experience in the legal marketing field is preferred. Ideal candidate is responsive, organized, flexible and a great communicator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

• Assisting with legal award submissions – compiling information, drafting responses, submitting, etc.
• Maintaining and updating lists of local and national press contacts
• Assisting with writing assignments by drafting and proofing media relations materials
• Assisting with media outreach and conducting follow-up up on media pitches
• Updating firm’s website and social media accounts as needed

Marketing Responsibilities Include:

• Providing support for client-related firm hosted events and seminars, sponsorship opportunities and attorney speaking engagements by monitoring deadlines, maintaining RSVP lists, creating nametags, preparing handouts, compiling due diligence on attendees, packing and shipping of materials, assisting with event wrap-up, ROI reporting, follow-up communications with clients, and being onsite at the event as needed
• Maintaining the National Events and Internal Training calendars
• Fielding questions and providing support for basic InterAction (CRM) issues.
• Assisting with updates to or creation of various pieces of marketing collateral
• Maintaining marketing inventory
• Assisting with preparing collateral packets
• Assisting with miscellaneous requests from our attorneys and assistants

TOOLS/MUST HAVES: MOST IMPORTANT:

Specific Requirements and Skill Sets
The ideal candidate must:
• Pay strong attention to detail
• Possess the ability to learn quickly and work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Have strong writing, proofreading and organizational skills
• Be extremely responsive to emails and phone calls
• Have an understanding of the media industry, including how to navigate and collect information from media websites and databases
• Be able to summarize information and clearly articulate key points in writing
• Manage time well and be able to prioritize multiple ongoing projects, often under deadline
• Have well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
• Possess good judgment, a professional appearance/demeanor and demonstrated social skills necessary to represent the Firm and appropriately communicate with all levels of management
• Be willing to travel nationally
• Have flexibility to work evening or early morning events as needed
• Work harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team
• Be proficient in Microsoft office including MS Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer
