Marketing Coordinator

Vitamin T is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to assist our client for a 2-4 month contract need in Old Town Alexandria. This will be a full time, on site position and a GREAT opportunity to gain experience and expand your resume!!

Support all client's Conferences. This includes:
• Develop cross-conference promotional materials, such as flyers, postcards, and ads

• Conference ad hoc support, including attendee newsletters, registration form updates

• External mail list purchases

• Telemarketing campaign coordination (inbound, outbound, internal and external), including tracking and script development

• Maintain physical archive, in workroom and filing cabinets

• On Demand Non-Attendee marketing campaigns, including email messaging, digital outreach, Vega setup, tracking and analytics, results

• Post-Conference attendee communication

• Conference Community website participating and monitoring

• Post-Conference website updates

• Maintain Post-Conference demographics and data for inclusion in plans

• Coordinate social media and digital messaging schedules with Branding

• Coordinating digital and print ads with Branding, including resize requests, GA URLs, tracking sheet maintenance, marquee placements, etc.

• Coordinate messaging across other client messaging platforms

• Bi-weekly campaign performance updates, including email performance, website metrics, ecommerce and conversion, registration numbers, GA codes

• Project recordkeeping, including metrics, art requests and project numbers, PD and promo codes, mail lists and track backs, invoices

• Maintain conference schedules with actual and updated plans

• Update and clean Conference Opportunities lists and groups in Convio

• Ad hoc email support for other conferences, as requested


• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, or BBA) in marketing or communications, or equivalent or meets required experience.

• 3 to 5 years’ experience with conference marketing, direct marketing or association marketing preferred

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, organizational, and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Some familiarity with project management and ability to multi-task

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Experience with marketing email software (Convio or similar platform) desirable.

• Familiarity with Social Media platforms a plus

• Experience with Google Analytics and/or email reporting desired

• Print or Web design/layout skills or knowledge preferred; strong copyediting or copywriting skills also valued
