Marketing Coordinator

We're looking for a temporary marketing coordinator to assist our Fortune 1000 client's VP of Marketing. While this role may start out as temporary, it has the potential to be extended or to turn into a full time position for the right candidate. It also comes with medical, vision and dental insurance along with flexible spending accounts and a 401k.

Required Education:

BS/BA Degree from accredited college or university in marketing or related field.
Candidates should also have experience working within a marketing department.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the Country Inns & Suites Marketing department.
• Schedule appointments and maintain VP Marketing calendar
- Set up and maintain online marketing calendar for department tracking of all media and promotional activity for CIS.
• Arrange business itineraries and coordinate travel requirements.
• Set up and maintain an orderly department filing system (electronic and paper).
• Provide departmental office support and perform special assignments as requested.
• Provide support in maintaining accurate interactive tracking to include reconciling commission’s reports and tracking revenue & conversion.
• Work independently to complete projects.
• Promptly handle and distribute mail.
• Compose PowerPoint presentations and correspondence for signature.
- Create spreadsheets and translate data into graphs or other metrics as required.
• Serve as the key point of contact with agencies.
• Assist with the coordination of marketing programs and promotions.
• Act as an integral part of the team by establishing positive work relationships and maintaining good communication with all team members.

Required Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years administrative experience, preferably with experience supporting an executive
• Computer aptitude on a variety of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) as well as database knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage assignments.
• Use correct grammar and punctuation for business communication.
• Demonstrated personal ownership of tasks and follow through to get the required results.
• Tactful under pressure with internal and external customers.
• Take personal responsibility for making decisions or taking action when a quick response is required.
