Marketing Coordinator

We are a small, hard-working marketing and communications team that stays very busy with promoting the brand of an important innovation arm of the company and as an important organization in the field of computer science. We don’t sell products but are promoting an image, a brand, and a sense of long-term vision and strategy by telling the story of our innovations and dedication to issues that are important, relevant and impactful. Product contribution and storytelling is an important part of what we do. Our team handles largely external communications but also some internal.

We’re looking for someone who is a self-starter and can pick up projects, large or small, and do a great job. Our team works closely together and while we do have swim lanes and own particular workflows, no one person is an island and no one person gets all the credit. We need someone who can manage a very quick pace and respond with a positive attitude and good judgment.

In addition to the content skills, we will be bringing our graphic design and photography work in house, so a talent that enjoys the artsy side is needed. We will be photographing new devices, people using new technology, etc in an effort to create screenshots that are tangible for the external audience.

Requirements

- Photography skills. The ability to take and edit photos in short time period for use online and in marketing materials.
- Photoshop/graphic design proficiency to create weekly web graphics (also standard office applications, etc.)
- Be our team’s point of content on the new common asset library
- Package up field content (toolkit creation/refresh for Electronic Program Guide)
- Information Center content refreshes (3-4x/year)
- Video/photo gatekeeper and curation
- Organize and coordinate pre-marketing activities such as pulling papers, sourcing videos
- Candidate should be a team player, willing to learn new skills and platforms, self-motivated, and happy to take on big and small projects, happy to pitch in and help in whatever capacity and willing to take direction from teammates and management.
- Candidate should be able to stay organized despite a very fast-paced environment and respond to requests with a positive attitude and good judgment.
- Position may handle social media, depending on talent experience.
- Role will include some writing, editing (primarily marketing/promotional content, also potential for PowerPoint work.
- Experience in Marketing Communications, Project Coordination, or Executive Administration desirable.
