Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development of marketing and communications strategies to support Medicare/Medicaid healthcare lines of business and other corporate initiatives. Primary responsibilities include the implementation and management of advertising and lead generation program materials. Successful candidates will be familiar with consumer marketing and media channels, such as TV, direct mail, print, and Web, and will be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
• Day-to-day coordination and management of material development which includes:
o Develop project scope documents for Marketing Managers, designers, copywriters, ad agencies, compliance and other vendors as needed
o Review materials to ensure accuracy of and adherence to federal and state regulatory guidelines
o Distribute materials to internal stakeholders for review/approval – Proofreading, Sales, Marketing, and Compliance
o Consolidate feedback/ approvals of materials from stakeholders and communicate to the necessary parties
o Monitor projects from initiation to completion and keep Marketing Director and Marketing VP updated on material status/progress and escalate any potential issues impacting timing
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, such as sales, operations, web, and compliance, as well as third party agencies
• Assist in budget forecasting and invoice management
• Maintain project timetables
• Assist in compiling and distributing advertising and lead generation program results
• Gather marketing research and competitive intelligence
• Coordination and execution of special projects, as assigned by the Marketing Director or Marketing VP
• When needed, assist Marketing Brand Review team with review of marketing materials across multiple lines of business – ensure adherence to Corporate brand, style, and health literacy guidelines; review materials against an internal checklist that promote adherence to internal branding and quality standards
• Complies with all guidelines established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and guidelines set forth by other regulatory agencies, where applicable, and defined in the corporate and department policies.
• All other duties, as assigned by the manager or supervisor

Required Skills

• Excellent verbal, editorial, and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas
• Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects at one time
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and participate as a valuable contributor with little supervision or as an active team member depending on the situation and needs
• Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule daily activities for the most efficient use of time
• Decision-making skills with the ability to investigate and weigh alternatives and select the course of action that provides the greatest benefit to the organization
• Flexible and open to change

Required Experience
• Bachelor Degree (BA/BS)
• 3 years of Marketing experience – healthcare experience a plus, or work in other highly regulated industries, such as financial services
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Track record of:
o Top-notch project management skills and eye for detail
o Managing daily work-flow and meeting defined timelines
o Working in a fast-paced environment
o Handling multiple tasks and/or projects at one time
• Computer experience including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at the intermediate level at a minimum.
