Marketing Content Team Proofreader 
Minimum no. of years of experience required? 5 

Ensures consistent application of copy standards in multiple marketing projects. At key stages, this position proofreads, fact checks, and may line edit a large volume of communication projects for brand editorial style, accuracy, and appropriateness. 

• The Proofreader works in collaboration with cross functional teams. 
• Proofread marketing, advertising, and communication projects to ensure that copy consistently meets brand editorial style standards and is accurate and grammatically correct. 
• Verifies factual content of copy against project documentation. 
• Provides copy editing support on diverse projects. 
• Assists the Copy Editor in ensuring that content meets brand voice and style standards, is cohesive and clear, factually accurate, appropriate in tone and reading level. 

Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in English or related field required

1. Proofread (some copy editing) for grammar, spelling, consistency, and application of brand editorial style. 
2. Quickly and effectively assess and prioritize assigned work to meet defined deadlines. 
3. Participate in meetings relevant to daily responsibilities and broader departmental needs. 
4. Strengthen reputation and brand through expertise, diligence, and a strong service orientation. 

Top 3-5 Required Skills: 
1. Expert application of standard proofreading marks. 
2. Experienced with AP Stylebook and Chicago Manual of Style. 
3. Ability to learn and adapt to internal editorial style and brand voice guidelines. 
4. Adept at tracking changes in MS Word. 
5. Familiarity with PDF markup functions. 

Desired Skills: 
1. Strong communication skills. 
2. Organization and time management. 
3. Ability to collaborate with creative and marketing partners 

Soft Skills: 
1. Positive and personable, even when under stress.
