Marketing Content Manager

Our large retail/CPG client located Bethesda, MD is looking for a Conten Marketing Manager for a 6+ month contract assignment with high potential to extend or convert.

The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting the creation, scheduling and distribution of content across multiple digital and social media platforms. Collaborating with editorial, content strategy, brand social managers and agency partners the Content Marketing Manager will assure content being produced by the Studio is properly produced to spec, scheduled, delivered, published and QA’d for accuracy. The Manager will be highly proficient in managing distribution to all company owned channels internally and globally.

Responsibilities will include:
• Editorial savviness around current events, pop culture, and trends.
• Strong familiarity and regular use of Twitter, Instagram, etc.
• Develop distribution calendar and ongoing communication processes for working seamlessly with internal teams and partners
• Communicate deliverables and specifications to internal Creative, Account and Production teams
• Organize strategic distribution plan and schedule for individual programs and content initiatives.
• In coordination with SEO specialists, craft highly searchable titles, keywords and descriptions for content delivered on various social platforms
• Manage YouTube VSEO for brand channels and support continued curation and channel updates
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure content and associated metadata appears appropriately on all platforms under strict deadlines
• Compile, interpret and utilize owned marketing channel results, social media monitoring, and content marketing/production platform data to maximize distribution performance and build audience engagement

Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications or Journalism
• 4+ years professional work experience in marketing including digital and social media work; knowledge of the digital and traditional media ecosystem
• Familiarity with creative production process, content management systems, digital asset management, and content production tools a plus
• Must be a self-starter, inquisitive about new marketing platforms and willing to juggle multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
