Marketing Content Developer

Vitamin T is seeking a Marketing Content Developer for our fast-growing B2B software company.

Here are examples of what you’ll be developing:

White papers.
Blog posts. Our client writes about their product as well as topics relevant to corporate learning and higher ed.
Case studies. Some will be focused on businesses, some on universities.
Web page copy.
Brochures.
Email campaigns.
Videos. You’ll record everything from sample use case videos to fun holiday how-to’s.

3 reasons you want this job

Cool tech. Our client is doing things with video that nobody else in the industry is doing.
A great team.
Real impact. Our client is still small enough for every employee to have a clear, tangible impact on our bottom line. For example, the content you write will drive up the SEO, introduce people to the product who’d never heard of them, attract new prospective buyers, and ultimately result in more successful customers.

3 things they need from you:

Technical chops. You won’t succeed in writing about their technology unless you understand it a fairly deep technical level. So if you’ve done technical marketing for enterprise software in the past, have a background in video or a technical degree, or just consider yourself a bit of a software geek, that’s a good start.
Great written and verbal communication. I’m looking for someone who can write concise, fluff-free long- and short-form copy. You’ll target a range of audiences from technical decision makers and corporate training teams to edtech professionals and faculty.
A genuine interest in what we do. If you read that we recently raised some cash and want to apply for the job to get in at the ground level of a young startup, well frankly, we’re past that stage. We’re still a flexible, fast-moving, quickly growing company, but we offer the stability, competitive pay, and benefits of more established enterprises. So apply for this role because you genuinely believe that concepts like the corporate YouTube and inside-video search can have a transformative effect on learning.
There’s one other thing I need from you—a fantastic attitude. I’m looking for someone who shares my passion for our technology; who is always optimistic in the face of tough business challenges; who’s comfortable with what they do and don’t know; and who knows how to detach from the day-to-day madness of the job and have fun with the team.
