Our client is one of the globes oldest and most beloved technology firms. They've asked for our help identifying candidates for a content and sales project manager position to work directly on their internal sales collateral repository tool.

The Worldwide Field Communications team sets strategies for and implements programs/training/sales tools to better enable the field to understand and deepen their engagement and knowledge of the company's products and solutions.

The Content Project Manager serves as partner to the businesses across the company to ensure alignment between marketing strategy and content on the internal repository/tool. This position helps the business units effectively communicate information about their products to field sales. With the overall goal to make it easier for the field to sell the company's products. This role is specifically responsible for managing product line/BU content on the repository tool.

In the Sales Project Manager role, this position supports a variety of internal/external resources/vendors to produce sales communications deliverables including: product collateral, newsletters, emails, metrics/reporting, etc. This role supports all functions within Sales Communications (including Field Communications, Training, Sales Digital Marketing and Employee Communications) and is responsible for managing all projects from the information-gathering stage through concept and production stages to final produced marketing assets.

In 2015 3 million documents from this repository were downloaded by internal sales staff and business units. It is used by 1,500 internal staff. The tool needs constant updates, QA, reporting analysis, etc.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for working with marketing to assess content and positioning on the repository tool and prioritizing and executing on improvements.
  • Conduct bi-annual Deep Dive reviews providing each team with content metrics/track content performance and usage based on field activity and recommendations to further refine and improve.
  • Develop content metrics and track content performance
  • The overall goal is to drive action/change per worldwide sales communications strategies.
  • Build relationships with business unit teams and understand their key care-abouts.
  • Maintain field sales collateral such as Factory Contact Spreadsheet, Lookahead,Line Card, Master Presentation
  • Aid in scheduling Field Training meetings and ensure training materials and records are uploaded to repository
  • Provide ongoing repository tool training for new marketers and field personnel.
  • Analyze and influence data reporting
  • Help develop, test, and implement new features for the repository tool that will both easy for the field to use and for the businesses to maintain
  • Manage execution of a variety of sales communications deliverables such as newsletters, field training portal, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with the field about new and upcoming features in the repository tool as well as gather feedback for upcoming projects
  • Communicate quarterly metrics, results, and goals
  • Schedule weekly WebEx trainings, record trainings and post trainings for future listening.

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years of digital marketing and/or web project management experience.
  • Degree in engineering is helpful but not required.
  • Strong technical background and aptitude is critical.
