Marketing Consultant

Our client located in San Francisco has an immediate need for a Marketing Consultant with health insurance experience and knowledge of specialty benefits.

Responsibilities:

1) Responsible for specific marketing channel tactics and translating complex marketing strategies into tactical marketing plans to achieve specific acquisition and retention targets via optimal marketing channels.
2) Partners with Marketing Engagement & Delivery Leads on the development of specialized project plans and steps to execute marketing plans based on channel tactics including preparing creative briefs, estimating costs, time schedules, resource allocation, and production schedules.
3) Responsible for managing all requests for modifications to content on website, and ensuring requests are actionable and succinct, and following through to client satisfaction.
4) Manages the development of metrics that show how elements of the marketing campaigns, tactical plans and operations lead to achievement of overall marketing strategies.
5) Ensures successful implementation including approving technical and artistic phases of marketing collateral and materials; tracking budgets and project deliverables/milestones; managing vendor and internal unit activities.
6) Manages the analysis of results from large and complex marketing initiatives, campaigns, and programs; shares findings with management, Marketing Strategists, team members and other key stakeholders; translates findings into marketing messages that align with audience and line of business objectives.
7) Actively pursue creative growth and development through experience, exposure, and education.
8) Provide functional and problem-solving leadership with creative teams and project partners, including Marketing Engagement & Delivery Leads, Marketing Engagement & Delivery Specialist peers and Marketing Strategists.
9) Works with Senior Manager to actively contribute to internal department initiatives, including updating and creating processes, creative outcomes improvements, documentation, tools, etc.
10) Provide alternative point of view if project work is misaligned or not in the best interests of the business partner.
11) Develop client presentations in partnership with peers and team members.
11) Present and explain creative rationale to individuals, creative teams, project partners, and leadership.
Education/Requirements:
- A BA/BS in a related field such as marketing or business and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of marketing experience and at least one year in a health insurance environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles and practices including product promotion, placement and pricing techniques.
- Ability to independently develop, implement and evaluate creative marketing plans.
- Knowledge of health plans and insurance products, services and their financial drivers, including Medicare.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to details.
- Knowledge of legal, brand, and regulatory compliance requirements for marketing health insurance plans.
- Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines and/or milestone requirements.
- Good analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use advanced features of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to influence decision makers.
