Summary

This position is responsible for writing communications materials for a variety of vehicles, including newsletters, web and collateral pieces, related to health care reform and other regulatory/government projects.


Functions

Develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliverables
Develop communications plan for projects and manage deliverables against the plan, including research, development, review and deadline management.
Ensure all deliverables across assignments are delivered on time and at expected quality level.
Have a working knowledge of tools used by the team, where resources are located and any training necessary to perform at a high level.
Manage reviews and approvals with project leads, business leads, legal counsel and marketing communications leadership as needed.
Operate at a high level of professionalism, including self-managing work time and space, interaction with colleagues and clients, deadlines and deliverables.


Requirements

Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years generalist communications experience. Willing to look at less experienced candidates if they can present excellent writing samples, have had an internship or job in communications and can show an understanding of communications in a corporate environment. Journalists with experience covering and writing for health care or insurance industries who can show an understanding of communications in a corporate environment will also be considered.

Requires a college degree or comparable years experience.
