Our client, a well-established San-Diego based Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) company, seeks a Marketing Communications Specialist to assist in the design and production of planned marketing programs for either the Managed Care Organization (MCO) business segment or Self-Insured business segment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

 Develop and execute marketing communications strategies and supporting project plans in a
manner consistent with MedImpact’s corporate positioning and goals

 Research, write copy and edit both print and electronic communications for internal teams (e.g.
sales, existing accounts, clinical) and external stakeholders (e.g. prospects, clients, members,
pharmacy providers, prescribers, consultants). Including, but not limited to presentations,
supplemental materials, campaigns, press releases, newsletters, white papers and industry journal

 Support the planning and execution of internal and external customer events including Webinars,
conferences and users group meetings.

 Coordinate work of outside vendors and consultants retained to execute projects (e.g.. meeting
planner, outside agency, freelance writer).

 Assist in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and

 Develop and execute marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue,
profitability, and market share.

 Manage projects within budget.

 Assist in the execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, benefit fairs, trade
show, direct mail and signage.

 Negotiate contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers.

 Manage the development, production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to
support sales and marketing programs.

 Helps analyze marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.

 Review and approve the use of internal and external mailing lists.

 Review and provide analysis of marketing surveys.

 Provide post-event reports, analysis and regular status reports on marketing programs.

 Help plan, promote and execute sales meetings and other events.

 Help establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional
materials, and events.

 Provides full back up support of other business segments as needed and/ or assigned.
