Marketing Communications Representative

Responsible for managing, developing and executing 2nd sale marketing programs/communications designed to drive participation and build awareness of our group insurance program. Develop customized communication plans for accounts, utilizing benchmarking and historical marketing data to persuade employers to communicate MetLife’s full suite of products to their employees. Must be prepared to identify and respond to problems and/or challenges independently. This position also requires ability to partner across the organization with groups such as: Senior Management and Operations, Legal, Creative Services, Sales and Account Management. Should possess insurance industry knowledge and marketing skills.

Functional Responsibilities:

• Develop account communication plans for voluntary products that help achieve sales goals and drive awareness.
• Help drive participation and increase employee response to meet designated account goals
• Collaborate with account executives and implementation team to manage all existing and new accounts.
• Serve as day-to-day account contact
• Manage all benefit communications for a block of accounts, including home mailings, emails and distribution of open enrollment materials
• Responsible for managing projects with internal creative group and external agencies.
• Assist in developing communications strategy, reinforce brand requirements and ensure consistent brand messaging guidelines
• Provide project analysis and recommendation for future initiatives
• Partner with Law Department, Sales, Creative Services, Implementation and Administration groups and External Agencies.
• Delivery of communications on time and within budget

Qualifications Required:

• High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years of marketing experience

Qualifications Desired:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing preferred
• Marketing account management skills desired
• Some knowledge of advertising, direct response, sales promotion and strategic planning
• Strong written skills and technical expertise
• Detail-oriented
• Self-starter, with ability to motivate team members, prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Customer focused (internal and external)
• Understanding of insurance industry helpful
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
