Our Client is recruiting for a short-term role running until Mid-May.

The Consumer Marcomm team is a small but busy team, which delivers a range of marketing communication activities and are dedicated to delivering excellence in our marketing campaigns. Currently our primary focus is delivering the UK part of the Global advertising campaigns. We work side by side with the International media team and our marketing agencies to plan and execute these campaigns across TV, Press, Out of Home digital media and custom media projects. These campaigns aim to drive consideration and purchase intent for all devices and services in our Client’s range.

Ideal candidates will have a advertising/media planning background and will be creative as well as a good ability to project manage.

Role Purpose
The responsibility of the Interim Marcoms Manager is to support the Consumer marketing communications team in the creation of marcomms solutions and to take the lead on execution of these by working in partnership with the Consumer product managers. You will assist two other Marcoms managers in the execution of advertising and marketing plans and be expected to form a very close working relationship with the other members of the team and the key Centres of Excellence within the Central Marketing function. You will also be expected to manage the daily interaction with agencies to ensure advertising campaigns are executed upon, tracked, optimised, and reported upon.

Key Accountabilities, Tasks and Activities

• To partner with the other members of the Marcoms team and the Centres of Excellence in developing and executing marcoms plans.
• To co-ordinate and execute Corp global advertising campaigns. Covering some or all of the following areas: TV, press, out of home, digital display and search media. This involves project managing creative development, checking the branding and making sure we effectively use media budgets.

• To work closely with each agency (media and creative), encouraging them to deliver to the best of their ability, and not accepting anything other than excellence from them.

Desired skills

• Experience in managing campaigns for a leading brand either a service or product to consumer audiences,
• University Bachelor’s Degree Required (Business or Marketing)
• Years of Experience: 2+ years’ experience of successful campaign management.
• Experience and passion for digital marketing and a thorough understanding of the disruption that digital has had within the marketing industry over the last 10 years.
• Great interpersonal skills – the job is about getting stuff done, often through others.
• Good creative judgment – ability to express opinion with objectivity.
• Sharp eye for detail, and a care / passion for their work.
• Numerical skills – not an expert in analytics, but needs a high level of confidence in this area
• Experience of optimizing campaign performance through results analysis.
• Strong interpersonal skills – able to work with a variety of working styles, and knows how to get the best from their agency colleagues.
• Proactive, fast learner, ability to multi-task and prioritize. With a keen eye for detail and well organised.
• Great financial acumen
• Thrives in ambiguous and changing environments, and the ability to perform even when some information is not readily available, or is shifting.
• Passion for change, thirst for knowledge, and a natural curiosity.
• In touch with audiences, culture, & trends in the UK. Know what’s hot, what’s not, and have the skills to identify emerging opportunities.
