Great Portland based SaaS company is looking for their new Marketing Communications Manager to add to their team. The Marketing Communications Managers collaborates with the Product Marketing Manager to define and execute on compelling content and creative strategies to educate, engage and convert their target audiences. The role includes strategy development and execution by translating their value proposition into themes, campaigns and assets that elevate their thought leadership position and drive awareness, preference and ultimately, revenue growth with potential and existing customers. The Marketing Communications Manager develops written content and helps guide the creative process, working with the larger Marketing team and outside contractors to deliver key content and creative execution. This role also requires in-depth collaboration with product marketing, acquisition/installed base, PR/AR, events & digital marketing teams to deliver compelling messaging & creative strategies. An ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships is a must. Manage the production of all written and creative communication assets, including: website content, video, blogs, collateral, customer success stories, webinar/event materials and marketing automation content.
Collaborates closely with Product Marketing to understand target audience, solutions, use cases and customer journey in order to define communication assets to support Installed Base Client activities and targeted prospect activities.
Leads team of digital marketing communications professionals (design, creative, writers, etc.) to achieve project plans in support of key marketing and business goals; contracts with outside agencies for expertise as needed.
Set team objectives and oversee planning and execution of defined marketing communication projects.
Define key performance metrics and conduct monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for management team review.
Co-lead our customer reference program with Product Marketing (interviews with customers, asset development and distribution).
Develop, document, implement and refine Marcom processes to improve quality and efficiency of deliverables.
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop content management strategy and processes; act as member of the Editorial Review Board.
Oversee the creative briefing process and adherence to Corporate Brand Guidelines.
Ensure team adherence to best practices across programs.
Skills and Experience: 5+ years' experience leading marketing communication projects
B2B, SaaS, and/or digital marketing industry experience strongly preferred
5+ years' experience in a writer/editor role
2+ years' experience managing teams
BS/BA in Communications, Marketing, or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; exceptional storytelling and editorial skills
Strong project management experience a must
Demonstrated success in working in a team-based, collaborative environment
Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced organization
Experience using SmartSheets strongly preferred
Experience with Hubspot a big plus
