Marketing Communications Coordinator

PART TIME FREELANCE POSITION This is a part-time position starting at 30 hours/week with the potential for full time at a later date.

The project coordinator supports regular and effective employee communication to ensure client associates at the client Technology group are informed and engaged. This communication professional has strong writing, editing, and web skills as well as the ability to prioritize for greatest impact in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare weekly email newsletter for release; includes editing and formatting content
• Post content for SharePoint intranet site
• Edit rough-draft content and prepare for email and web communication
• Create, edit, and post slide content within digital signage system
• Monitor communication request system to ensure content is released on time
• Support employee and community outreach events
• Coordinate basic procurement activities

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of an undergraduate degree (preferably in Journalism, English or other communication-related discipline)
• 1 -3 years of communication experience in a corporate environment
• Superior writing, editing, and web communication skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher); experience with graphic design and photo editing software a plus
• Experience with content management systems (CMS); knowledge of SharePoint Microsoft web application and HTML a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
