Marketing Communications Consultant

Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a skilled Marketing Communications Consultant. The ideal candidate will be a strong copywriter as this position will create the communication strategy and materials, including 50% printed material and 50% digital (email) content.

The position is accountable for excellent marketing communications writing including: copywriting, public relations, project management and client relationship management. This would be an on-site, 40 hr/wk, long-term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Creates strategic marketing communications and public relations plans, writes, edits and coordinates development of print, electronic and web-based communications, including ads, direct mail, email, presentations and collateral material.
• Coordinates work and schedules with graphic designers and vendors, ensuring final product meets client needs.

Requirements:
• At least eight years experience in agency or corporate positions that require significant, direct interaction with clients, designers and production vendors.
• Proven ability to write clearly, concisely, quickly and accurately, incorporating key messages and calls to action and using appropriate language and tone for target audience.
• Experience and success in marketing communications for business-to-business and/or business-to-consumer products, including direct marketing, Internet marketing, copywriting and collateral material development.
• Success in creating and implementing public relations plans.
• Able to progress on variety of projects during the course of the workday and accustomed to working at a fast pace.
• Degree in journalism, public relations or communications.
