Marketing Communications Assistant (Trade Show Support)

Job Description
What will this person be doing day to day?
1. Please see attached job description

2. Trade show work (trade show collateral and development)

3. Marketing communications out to clients

4. Inventory exhibits

5. This is an individual contributor role taking ownership of Marcom work


1. Must be flexible for travel for trade shows
2. Knowledge with Microsoft word, excel, ppt
3. They need to have marketing communication skills and trade show event experience
4.They should have a business degree plus minimum a couple years of experience (no specific industry background)
5. Experience with analytical instruments or scientific instrumentation a plus
6. Good with technology
7. Experience with Eloqua, Mercado, a plus

**The hiring manager will not consider candidates without corporate event experience**

Event Related Tasks:
1. Manage development of flyers for booth, sales reps, etc.
2. Manage e-mails (scope documents, e-marketing, list pulls, header banners, etc.)
3. Assist build of CQ5/Eloqua registration form by collation of relevant content for the pages.
4. Manage creation of banners (signature, web page header, right-rail ads, etc.)
5. Manage development of backwall graphics, retractables, signage, etc.
6. Manage entry of same to the exhibit house
7. Consolidate collateral for show shipments from San Jose/Sunnyvale (design center)
8. Assist with placing ELC orders for shows (new corporate process)
9. Assist with new post-show surveys (new corporate process)
10. For ASMS, manage the poster submittal, review, approval process (Sharepoint site)
11. Poster coordination for shows, poster printing, poster envelopes, poster fulfillment
12. Attend regularly scheduled meetings, event meetings, ad-hoc meetings (e.g., L&L, sales rep seminars)
13. Manage seminar survey process (sending, collecting, posting, etc.)
14. Manage seminar shipments (signage, badges)
15. Manage seminar/user meeting badge creation/printing
16. Support all other shows as required when assigned, based on priority
17. Assist with large tier 1 show tasks (ASMS, Pittcon, Productivity Tour, Users’ Meetings, etc.) Regional Marcom will still assume a lead role for ASMS & Pittcon.)
18. Manage QB entry for all show support functions

 Fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT
 Work and think independently
 Well organized, able to multi-task
 Good time management skills
 Assertiveness (not afraid to drive deadlines, question, push back when needed…in a nice way)
 Good team player
 Previous marcom experience preferred
 Tradeshow/Event support experience a big plus
 Needs to be based in Sunnyvale
