Marketing Communications Assistant Director

Temporary Marketing Communications Assistant Director role available immediately. Ideally this role will sit in New York or Cleveland, onsite. Duration of assignment will be for approximately 3-6 months with potential for extension. Key points of this opportunity: Provide strategic communications support, build strong relationships with leadership team, global stakeholders where required, and must work extremely collaboratively across a communications team.

Success will be measured in delivering innovative, comprehensive and world-class internal communications and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage communications and engagement programs for a variety of global audiences; proactively identifying their diverse needs

• Drive consistent processes for delivering integrated communications; adapt communications for relevance and effectiveness

• Collaborate effectively across teams, including Go-to-Market and Brand and External Communications both in the Americas and globally

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on communications and change management issues, trends and long-term implications

• Develop and deploy consistent communications plans that reach key internal audiences while allowing for local input, customization and integration of messages in appropriate channels

• Manage relationships with key stakeholders

• Manage competing forces and drive understanding, motivation and stakeholder value

Skill Requirements:

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrate consensus-building skills in a dynamic environment

• Deliver on strategic priorities; align communications with go-to-market and performance agendas and revenue goals; communicate value proposition

• Enable and demonstrate innovative thinking; leverage communications to inspire others

• Enable knowledge sharing throughout the company; be able to synthesize information from others; connect all facets of the business when initiating, developing and implementing marketing and communications projects; help the business address its big issues; serve as an organizational connector

• Provide tactical guidance to realize vision; maintain comprehensive working knowledge about the change process and implementation of best practices

• Demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to establish and refine the strategies that drive brand as well as organizational performance and add value to the business

• Demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities concerning global business fundamentals, business models, ethics, competitive analysis and cross-cultural/geographical sensitivities

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent area of study or experience)

• At least 8 to 10 years of communications experience in a world-class global organization

• Experience driving communications and engagement programs within a people organization with proven and demonstrable results

• Experience leading and managing large, diverse and virtual high-performance teams

• Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with senior-level stakeholders

Other Requirements:

• This role will be based in New York or Cleveland. Working onsite.

• Global travel may be required.
