Contract assignment for a B2B Copywriter with the Software division of a Fortune 500 company!

Marketing Communications Advisors are trusted consultants marketing stakeholders, producing or creating copy based on needs or tactics provided by the stakeholders. They understand the business objectives, audience, positioning and key messages for each project, program or event; they adeptly write or edit content and manage its production in market-facing marketing communications vehicles to promote the company's brand and its offerings, maintain messaging consistency, and support the goals of the sales and marketing teams.

Responsibilities:
• Learn about the technology, market and competitive landscape for the assigned product or program area by conducting research, including interviews of stakeholders.
• Understand -- and add value to -- the development of project or program deliverables by participating in kickoff calls and regular meetings with stakeholders. • Confidently contribute to concept, messaging and tactic development by providing content marketing or communications counsel.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders to provide high-quality content for deliverables such as promotional emails, web pages, case studies, datasheets and white papers.
• Ensure deliverables are on target and on schedule by:
(a.) vetting every assignment in their product/solution or pgram areas for business value and clear requirements;
(b.) engaging other writers/editors, as needed, to execute on the assignment;
(c.) negotiating turnaround times with stakeholders;
(d.) reviewing the work product from writers/editors to ensure it meets the requirements, quality standards and brand guidelines;
(e.) presenting work product for client review;
(f.) and ensuring the content is represented accurately and effectively in next stage of production (print-ready layout and web pages) with assistance as needed from writers/editors

Education:
Experience equivalent to a 4-year college education with an emphasis in marketing, communications English, journalism, or other field of study that requires critical thinking and significant editorial output.

Experience:
• Requires an additional 6-10 years of experience working in a corporate marketing department.
• Requires extensive experience creating marketing or corporate communications deliverables, preferably to promote technology products.
• Requires a deep, credible portfolio of successful projects that demonstrate ability to create clear and/or persuasive copy and add value to the presentation.
• Requires ability to strongly influence adoptions of editing and writing practices with a proven record of delivering high-quality content on the first attempt.

Technical Knowledge:
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience in html editing tools is preferred

Communication/Interpersonal Skills:
• Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.
• Requires ability to manage multiple assignments at once.
• Requires ability to bridge the gap between business and technology issues with management and technologists.
• Requires background in creative brainstorming.
• Requires ability to work collaboratively, cooperatively and cheerfully at all organizational levels, earning the respect of their supervisors and peers.
