Marketing Communication Specialist

Our client is seeking a consultant for a new product offering, who would be responsible for supporting the development, execution and management of the marketing communications plan for B2B and B2B2C communications. This position is on the Marketing Communications team within our client's internal agency and works in close partnership with various specialty marketing groups such as: Segment Marketing Communications, Creative Services, Brand Management, Research, Public Relations, Digital/Social Media, Events & Sponsorships) and external partners (e.g., marketing and advertising agencies, printers) to ensure timely and flawless delivery of the plan. This position works under the direction of a senior marketing manager, and provides an impact by understanding the client objectives and recommending new, creative and differentiating marketing communications tactics.

• Support the development and execution of messaging supporting B2B and B2B2C communications.
• Work closely with agency Creative partners in the process of building the messaging document, supporting consistency of how the messaging translates in various segment B2B communications, and supporting the development of hard working, great looking B2B2C communications.
• Develop smart project proposals, effective creative briefs and drive kickoff meetings.
• Help drive effective and efficient production schedules and support established budgets.
• Work with Segment Marketing, Product, Pricing, Underwriting and Operations team members to help unlock differentiating market messaging for use in multiple formats.
• Continually generate ideas and opportunities to innovate, which can include process, media, tactics, and other ideas intended to improve Cigna's competitive position in marketing communications.
• Identify critical opportunities to communicate to internal audiences and provide editing/review support to ensure consistency of messaging.
• Ensure final sign-offs from subject matter experts, project owners and compliance/legal team.
• Evaluate effectiveness of current communication strategies and messaging/tactics and drive change as needed to properly support the channel and the customers.
• Partner with Brand to ensure consistency of voice across business advertising/communications and leverage Brand campaigns to support business goals.
