Marketing Campaign Operations Associate

Our client is looking for a campaign operations associate to support its growing businesses within Marketing. This full-time contractor role, which must be performed onsite in Mountain View, CA, will support the day-to-day responsibilities of campaign/email production and associated marketing operations, including audience targeting (i.e., list pulls) and campaign set-up using various in-house and third-party tools. This role will work with the Senior Research Operations Associate and extended teams to address research needs tied to product and marketing strategy for LinkedIn. You'll be surrounded by a first-rate team of people who work hard to make LinkedIn the premier destination for professionals on the web.
Essential duties/Responsibilities:
• Candidate needs to become a Responsys ''power-user'', understanding and able to fully leverage all capabilities of the tool/system to successfully drive the implementation of email programs in an effective and efficient manner.
• Manage and prioritize multiple campaign related projects and maintain necessary processes, controls and procedures to insure data accuracy, business functionality and compliance with privacy and security policies.
• Partner heavily with business analysts and data team to design and apply segmentation in list pulls and list work.
• Work with online marketing team to identify campaign needs and ensure campaign timelines are met with high quality.
• Identify process improvements and data infrastructure enhancements to support campaign management efficiency and effectiveness.
• Candidate will work with the online marketing managers to set up-front campaign measurement and develop campaign metrics requirements.
• Collaborate with Business Analytics in designing and enabling data for campaign testing, tracking and reporting campaign program performance.
• End-to-end management responsibility for campaign execution including compliance to anti-spam laws and regulations – executes and manages the campaigns for online marketing through multi-channels.
• Proactively communicate progress, milestones and challenges to the survey stakeholders.
• Interact with colleagues and partners in a way that is positive, collaborative, and inspiring.
• Regularly identify and implement improvements that increase the efficiency of our survey operations.
• Manage and prioritize multiple campaign related projects and maintain necessary processes, controls and procedures to insure data accuracy, business functionality and compliance with privacy and security policies.
Desired Skills & Experience
• BA/BS Degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in marketing operations and high frequency email marketing role required.
• Experience with Responsys Interact 6 or related ESP is a huge advantage.
• Preferred experience in at least two of the following functional areas: email platform management (e.g. Responsys), technology project management, CRM platform management, database/list management, direct marketing management.
• Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of marketing and CRM process.
• Experience with statistics, research techniques, and experimental designs preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of survey tools like Decipher, Survey Monkey, etc. preferred.
• Experience with other marketing channels such as house ads, display advertising, search marketing, webcasts/online events, etc. would be a plus.
• Highly motivated with a “can do” attitude and the ability to effectively operate and make informed decisions quickly working in a complex, fast-paced environment. Passionate about learning new tools and processes.
• Basic HTML knowledge; ability to troubleshoot simple HTML errors, use WYSIWYG tools such as Dreamweaver.
• Experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
• Intermediate SQL/data management skills strongly desired. If you don't know it, you should genuinely desire to master it.
• Strong client/customer service, project management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Team player: Demonstrate that individual accomplishments are measured by the success of team.
• Enjoy working independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Last but not least: you act like an owner in everything you do. The right candidate must be a self-starter and possess strong analytical, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
