Marketing Automation Analyst

Aquent's client is looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist who has experience with Marketo. Not just user experience, but troubleshooting/administrator experience.

The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for operating our automated marketing programs using Marketo, and supporting key programs such as email communications, lead generation, scoring and nurturing. The Specialist will work as a member of the CRM team to maximize the effectiveness of marketing automation to drive both quantity and quality of leads; and increase the visibility of communications distributed across the organization. This role will also ensure the proper tracking and performance reporting of all marketing campaigns/communications. The Specialist will support the onboarding and training of various departments within the organization onto the Marketo platform. Success in this role requires excellent Marketing Automation skills as well as have web development experience (must have intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS); strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, innovation, and communication are key qualities to hold.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Leverage the marketing database for efficient and effective campaign targeting.
• Build, execute, and automate email marketing campaigns that are timely and relevant to the recipient and maximize ROI.
• Understand and maintain responsive email templates that meet our client's standards as well as being desktop, tablet and mobile-friendly incorporating media queries and CSS3 techniques ensuring customer communication are readability across email clients
• Understand and maintain responsive landing page templates that meet our client's standards using HTML5, Javascript, jQuery and advanced CSS as well as being cross-browser compatible.
• Follow best practice data hygiene and database health programs.
• Support Marketo being used to its full potential and identify opportunities to improve ROI through better automation and targeting.
• Create and update marketing campaign workflows as changes to business requirements dictate.
• Monitor, analyze and report on performance of campaigns and communicate results.
• Support the generation and implementation of test strategies, including A/B multi-variant testing, to drive qualified traffic and revenue-building activities to ensure maximum profitability.
• Support email content process – layout, content, messaging, review and segmentation, and list management.
• Work with International teams from US, UK, Asia and Latin America.
• Provide training and documentation for new and existing Marketo users.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• 2-5 years marketing experience with a minimum of 18 months experience working with a marketing automation platform such as Marketo, Eloqua or Pardot.
• Must be able to demonstrate a high level of marketing automation and CRM experience.
• Well-rounded marketing technologist familiar with B2B lead generation (inbound/outbound marketing, demand generation, etc.).
• Ability to understand workflow processes and systems within a marketing/sales cycle.
• Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation.
• Candidate must thrive in a fast paced, iterative, deadline driven environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• HTML, HTML5, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, Photoshop and SEO experience.
• Understanding how to make emails responsive using media queries and CSS3 techniques.
