Marketing Associate

Our client one of the world’s first philanthropic travel club, is looking for a proactive Marketing Associate for their marketing and lead-generation initiatives.

This position is responsible for supporting content creation for all company marketing efforts, as well as managing ongoing communications programs with prospects, members, and investors. This role helps to manage the editorial calendar, and interfaces with project managers and vendors to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an entrepreneurial environment, must be a self-starter, and is able multi-task in a very fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior leadership, project managers, and consultants to refine marketing program messages and calls to action

• Research content, write 1 pages, blogs, collateral materials, quarterly Member newsletters, video scripts, and other communications media

• Assist with daily / weekly social media management and analysis

• Manage editorial calendars

• Help maintain FTP/ database of visual collateral for regular online publication

• Coordinate with blogging agencies and external publications as required

• Complete other duties as assigned


Qualifications

• Passion for philanthropy and reaching out to a mass audience

• Ability to develop ideas and research information for stories, product or program descriptions, testimonials, blogs, or other written deliverables

• Experience delivering marketing content (candidate must provide writing samples, and perform a writing exercise during the interview)

• Must be resourceful and have the ability to identify, research, and quickly solve problems with little supervision

• Capable of working on multiple projects at the same time, consistently meeting deadlines, and completing projects on short notice

• Ability to work well with teams while exhibiting professionalism and a can-do attitude

• Willing to adapt to changes in priorities


Required Education & Experience

• 2+ years professional writing experience producing marketing collateral

• Hospitality or philanthropic industry experience desired

• Experience managing editorial calendars with multiple internal and external contributors at multiple organizational levels

• Experience writing press releases

• BA/BS in marketing, communication, journalism, business, or relevant field

• Experience working with social media (various tactics, forms and writing requirements), internet marketers, printing companies, production firms, and other vendors

• Experience with website content management systems (CMS), Microsoft Office Suite, BrainShark, and Hubspot is a plus

• Working knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style
