Marketing Associate

Summary: 
Responsible for managing and implementing strategic marketing plans that support Texas retail business goals and objectives. Responsible for liasing between segment, product, channel, and creative teams to coordinate the execution of marketing collateral and ensure communication flows effectively. Assists in marketing campaign management by creating project brief for individual campaign assets, project managing creation of campaign assets, providing status updates to stakeholders, escalating campaign issues to manager, and maintaining scope of projects within campaign. Meets with segment, product and channel groups to understand their needs, develop proposed plan to meet their needs and coordinates plan with overall marketing plan. Ensures projects are delivered on time. Must be able to think strategically and provide solutions that are in line with business objectives and priorities. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 
• Identify optimal marketing channel mix to produce measurable and sustainable results that strengthen brand health, drive new customer acquisition and improve customer retention. 
• Attend meetings with segment, product and channel groups to obtain requirements for business needs and provide status updates for ongoing projects 
• Develop effective campaign plans and timelines to meet business objectives 
• Coordinate efforts within overall marketing plan 
• Create creative briefs that specifically identify the objective and describe the request 
• Organize and lead the activities of cross-functional teams to ensure timeliness of campaign completion 
• Work with the creative team to produce creative that is on strategy, on target and in brand by effectively kicking off the project, and constantly communicating with them about the status of the project and other relevant updates 
• Participate in strategic discussions and provide creative solutions 
• Manage risk, resolve issues and take corrective action as necessary on individual projects within campaign 
• Build relationships with stakeholders and communicate constantly to foster the best ideas and avoid surprises 
• Identify research opportunities, key metrics, and processes that should or should not be repeated in future campaigns 
• Manage timelines within our project management system and ensure the projects stay on track 
• Ensure all creative projects follow our internal creative process 
• Be solutions-oriented, providing recommendations for ways to solve issues as they arise 
• Create presentation and communication materials

• Ability to think strategically to provide solutions

• Knowledge of project management processes, workflow and terminology 
• Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills 
• Outstanding communication skills 
• Ability to work successfully in a matrix organization with competing priorities 
• Ability to facilitate meetings, set agendas, and follow up on next steps 
• Sets high expectations of self and work; self-motivated and resourceful; takes pride in delivering quality output at all stages of project 

Experience: 
• 1-3 years experience in marketing , advertising, account management, or project management 
Education: 
• Bachelor’s degree required. 

Working Conditions: 
• Normal, open office environment 
• Some overtime required as special projects arise 
• Day travel and some overnight stays
