Marketing Assistant/Mid (Major Retailer)

Our client is looking for a marketing contractor who is available for 40 hours per week for 12 months (2 week performance assessment period included). The marketing contractor will assist the marketing team with executing crucial strategy and analytical projects.

Roles include:
• QA
o Site: In-season management of site updates across all of company website ensuring the marketing is launched according to the ideal user experience, as well as current to in season strategy or pricing updates.
o Email: Responsible for QA’ing all email marketing campaigns before deployment to ensure correct linking, coding, and creative execution.
• Reporting and Hindsighting
o Analysis of site and email campaign performance including weekly reporting and seasonal marketing hindsights.
• Competitive Analysis
o Owner of Competitive Analysis through weekly tracking and share out of key competitors as well as adhoc reporting on competitors during key time periods or on specific categories.
• Other assignments as required for site, email and promotions.

Qualifications
• Proven ability to execute flawless consumer-focused marketing communications
• Familiarity with marketing metrics and ability to translate marketing data into actionable learnings
• Track record of success in learning new roles and internal processes quickly and with minimal guidance.
• Appetite to deliver results in a collaborative, dynamic, fast-paced work environment
• Experience defining, tracking and analyzing the competitive landscape
• Project Management experience preferred
• Flawless attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Strong customer focus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
• Omniture experience a plus
• 3-5 years relevant experience
• BA/BS

The project:
The Marketing Contractor will assist the Site and Email Marketing teams with strategy execution and analysis.

What would the typical work day look like for this contractor:

Responsibilities will include assisting with development of Marketing Strategies
Management of the Marketing Calendar
Reporting, QA, and Competitive Analysis

Type of background needed:
Experience developing consumer-focused marketing communications & analyzing marketing strategy, with preference for direct experience in online marketing metrics.
Software skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook. Omniture Experience a plus.
