Marketing Assistant /Coordinator

Our client is looking for a Marketing Assistant. This position will work closely with the firm’s marketing director wearing multiple hats to help implement a variety of marketing programs and will be involved in everything from planning events and database marketing to media relations, digital marketing and project management.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:

Coordinates marketing projects.
Works with the marketing director to develop and execute a series of ongoing integrated marketing initiatives.
Organizes, manages and brings to completion multiple projects and campaigns.
Serves as production coordinator for various publications, including white papers, client service packets, magazines, fact sheets and other materials.
Manages the production and posting of articles and videos on firm website and social media channels.
Assists with media and public relations efforts.
Assist the marketing director in various media outreach programs.
Serve as point of contact for the firm’s outside agency relationships and help to keep projects on track.
Monitor results and identify potential new opportunities for additional media placements.
Leads effort to centralize communications and marketing initiatives.
Serves as department’s Salesforce.com expert, charged with managing the automated delivery and tracking of emails and other electronic marketing campaigns.
Coordinates mail house logistics and implements other software programs as needed to effectively execute direct mail campaigns.
Tracks and measures the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and recommends enhancements to improve future results.
Conducts research to enhance engagement rates, including but not limited to: open and click-through rates on e-mails, use of social media/sharing tools and website visits.
Provides oversight on the development and inventory of brochures, reprints and other printed collateral.
Coordinates and manages logistics for special events.
Plans and helps to execute a variety of functions, including client luncheons, conference calls and webinars.
Coordinates venues, speakers, materials and content for presentations.
Serves as on-site manager to ensure that events run smoothly from beginning to end.
Manages RSVP process for events and tracks response/attendance rates.
Provides administrative support.

Manages the calendar for the marketing director and overall department.
Serves as an assistant to the marketing director.
Produces general correspondence, reports and presentations.
Identifies opportunities to improve workflow processes in order to leverage own and departments’ workload.
Track, gather, maintain and compile market or internal information, and generate reports.
Train client services team members on general responsibilities, provide work direction on day to day issues and serve as marketing liaison to broader firm.
Acts as first point of contact for the team or department.
Serves as first point of contact for marketing inquiries.
Responds to internal and external queries concerning guidelines, procedures or operations.
Proactively develops relationships with key internal and external contacts in order to source information or redirect inquiries appropriately.
May work on special projects and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
