Marketing Assistant

A large global tech brand based in Reading is looking for a Marketing Assistant to assist with the UK Public Sector’s team’s inbound marketing and community initiatives.


Key Accountabilities

• Assist with the implementation of the UK Public Sector team’s inbound marketing and
community initiatives

• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that community platforms and sales support tools
are kept up to date and functional
• Work closely with the broader public sector and social media teams to help generate
compelling editorial content
• Monitor trends and competitors and produce market intelligence updates
• Assist the UK public sector team with the management of all event activities, including client
run events and 3rd party led activities
• Work with Public Sector leadership team to create internal communications, from
presentation slides to videos and blogs.

Essential Experience

This role requires a background in B2B marketing and event management, combined with practical technical competency in digital marketing.

More specifically, the role requires an appreciation of how a range of digital techniques such as
SEO, social media and content creation across a range of formats (blog, eBook and video) can
help drive awareness, advocacy and sales within the enterprise. Project management and strong communication and analytical skills are also important.

In addition to the digital element, the role will also require the support and management of offline
initiatives such as events (both owned and 3rd party), producing market intelligence reports and the creation of sales support assets.
