Marketing Assistant

The successful candidate will work closely with our Training lead, as well as agency leads to help manage the execution of training events for the retail channel. This includes in person and online events that range from small store level trainings to large scale national training events.
Our ideal candidate is fuelled by knowledge of and passion for the technology industry, a keen interest in retail and channel marketing, a demonstrated background in event management, and a desire to grow professionally and creatively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with our training manager, agency leads and account and product teams to own execution training events both online and in person.
• Work with the account managers and training leads to ensure the information needed for a successful event is in place.
• Own management of the booth, signage and all general display logistics for training events. This will include working with our display agency to ensure we have the appropriate footprint for each training event we execute. These displays could be anywhere from a 10x10 footprint up to an 80 x 40 footprint.
• Manage hardware and software used to support training events as well as own configuration of these assets tailored to the event.
• Work with the training lead to source and then own execution of various training assets at the event such as printed or digital materials.
• Own the execution of a metrics program to measure the impact of training events.
• Own the management of event budgets.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline
• 2 years’ experience in retail, channel or events marketing
• Passion for marketing, self-motivated, self-starter with ability to work as part of team and independently
• Project and time management skills
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast paced workplace and industry
• Superior written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills in a very dynamic environment
• Experience using Microsoft Office 2010 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience using Photoshop
• Bilingualism an asset, but not required
