Marketing Assistant

Our client is a large financial institution in Pennington, NJ and they are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join their team for a 12 to 18 month contract role. The Marketing Assistant job is 40 hours per week and health benefits and 401K is offered through Aquent.

The Marketing Assistant will assist the Project Manager to provide marketing support primarily in the following areas:
• Assist the Project Manager in managing end-to-end marketing process and tactical execution for development of new thought leadership white papers, including reviewing and editing, working with internal/external resources on design and layout, and managing the compliance process, distribution and marketing promotion.
• Assist the PM in their role as key marketing contact and liaison for the line of business and provide status updates on key projects, lend support for ad hoc LOB requests as needed and manage marketing collateral development and updates
• Manage updates of existing marketing materials and thought leadership content in the internal library, including fact sheets, white papers, marketing emails.
•Manage timelines for updating expiring materials, handle LOB reviews, content feedback and approvals, work with internal and external design resources to update existing materials, manage compliance reviews and approvals, and oversee distribution of materials.
• Secure appropriate resources for projects, manage timelines and obtain approvals on estimates for print, etc.
• Hold internal and external agency partners accountable for work and drive toward execution that is on time and on budget.

The Marketing Assistant must be able to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously and work well under general supervision and typically report to a supervisor or manager.

Experience Required for the Marketing Assistant:
• Bachelors Degree in marketing, communications or journalism.
• 3 to 5 years of related work experience in marketing and communications
• Experience in financial services, previous industry bank experience helpful
• Strong editorial and project management skills
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to build successful relationships and influence business partners
• Strong attention to detail and tactical execution
• Ability to work independently and within a team
