Marketing Assistant

This is a new program focused on engaging and acquiring college student customers through direct collaboration with universities. In 2015, we became the official bookstore of Purdue and UMass – Amherst and launched our first physical locations on both campuses.
We are seeking a talented, dynamic and self-directed Digital Marketing Specialist to execute customer-facing digital marketing and merchandising campaigns targeting college communities.

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will support the team in positioning the company as a leading destination for students and ensuring an aligned and effective customer acquisition and engagement strategy. You will manage campaigns across company-owned online marketing channels, including the .com home page, product detail pages, and email.

The successful candidate will leverage CMS and HTML experience, proven digital marketing savvy, and a keen eye for detail to develop, launch, test, and report on campaigns to drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement. The ability to manage multiple milestones in a fast-moving environment, while keeping senior stakeholders updated on your progress, is critical to success in this role.

Build and manage digital marketing campaigns, tracking tasks and dependencies across multiple teams
Execute A/B tests, report on campaign performance, and make campaign adjustments to maximize results
Partner with design team to manage production of campaign assets

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience in email marketing, site merchandising, and/or content management
Ability to edit basic HTML and XML
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications
Proven ability to create customer-facing content that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to an online audience
Experience with customer segmentation and targeting
Proficiency with web analytics tools
Experience with A/B or multivariate testing
Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
Excellent documentation and workflow management skills
