Our client with offices in NYC and South Brunswick, NJ is in need of extra Marketing support. Candidates MUST have samples of previous work ready for submission along with resume and elevator pitch.

Location: NYC or South Brunswick, NJ - if based in NJ they MUST be able to commute to NYC at least 3 days/week.

Marketing Assistant:

Position Breakdown: 75% Events/25% Campaign Management

Key Success Factors: Organization, ability to multi-task and take direction. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate how they deliver product on time and on budget. Must be a really good creative thinker.

Position Description:
The primary responsibility of the Marketing Assistant is to execute events and programs in order to create demand and drive
qualified leads for the Sales Teams within North America.

This position will also have the responsibility to partner and collaborate
with the sales teams to assist them with retention goals and new business efforts. In addition, the Marketing Asst. will execute
on smaller go-to-market campaigns from start to finish and work closely with the sales team to ensure client-focused marketing and
promotional efforts are met.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and attend selected trade shows, customer events, and special events such as external product launches.

Work with show vendors and venues to negotiate pricing for all events.

Work with Regional Marketing counterparts and sales to ensure that events are planned according to the product strategy.

Prepare and ship all show materials and execute on all deliverables needed for events in a timely manner.

Partial focus will also be to execute key marketing activities throughout the year that include: advertising, client events, trade
shows, webinars, social media and direct marketing.

Pre-event communication for logistics, develop staff assignments, manage the budget for each show, and work with Regional
Marketing counterpart to define objectives, goals, and implement plans for each show.

Ensure all company delegates have the necessary information for successful shows.

Source venues, recommend and engage catering, and secure A/V technology when needed.

Work closely with program managers, committees and event staff to assist in effectively promoting event to target audiences.

Work with Regional Marketing to ensure all necessary follow-up with sub-contractor and sponsors have been completed.
Provide post-event analysis, event debriefing sessions, budget information, and participant feedback and incorporate all
learning into future plans.

Work closely with the sales managers and sales teams to execute activities aimed at providing visibility and generating new
leads for Client within current accounts and new accounts.

Ability to take direction and input and develop effective and engaging branded events that will achieve the organizational goals.

Additional Responsibilities
Work with the Campaign Creation Team on campaigns to develop and execute compelling, client/prospect-focused
advertising, marketing programs, and events.
Understand Client's solutions to ensure proper positioning for clear, consistent communications.
Monitor and manage each activity against ROI and budget requirements.
Provide measurement of programs as related to driving opportunities, pipeline & revenue, and provide feedback to Marketing
management on program effectiveness.
Focus on building stronger, tighter relationships within the customer base, and elevating awareness of Client's within the
target audience.
Analyze each campaign and activity for strengths and weaknesses; including testing campaigns for effectiveness and
implementing change where needed.
Create marketing materials for sales as needed or required, including direct mailings, and landing pages.

Key Relationships:
Global Regional Marketing Team - including Management and other Marketing Manager counterparts in the Americas region
as well as EMEA and Asia Pac.

Campaign Creation Team - work closely to develop and execute compelling, client/prospect-focused advertising, marketing
programs, and events.

Other Marketing groups - most notably Marketing Communications, Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing Operations.

Sales Organization - Ensure that sales and marketing are working as a team towards the same objectives of revenue
generation and retention.

Product Management - for product knowledge and coordination with event and product requirements.

Position Requirements

Travel: is required for specific events.

Years of Experience: 2 to 5 years of related marketing experience.

Exceptional Planning and Organizing: Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage projects, programs,
and budgets in a fast-paced environment.

Initiative: Strategic thinker, initiate new ideas, self-motivated, and quick-learner.

Measurement: Must be analytical and be able to identify strengths, gaps, and weaknesses in campaigns and activities.

Lead Generation: Understand how to effectively move leads through the sales qualification cycle.

Collaborative: Strong communication and people skills, proactive team player, flexible, and be able to work under pressure.

Education: Marketing or related college degree is required.

The travel, outside of the NYC commute, is about 10% to 15% depending on what shows we have going on and how busy we are—this could be anywhere in the US or Canada.
If the person is based in NYC I’d like for them to come to Princeton/South Brunswick once or twice a month.
