Marketing Analytics Specialist

The Contractor position within Marketing Analytics supports the marketing efforts for LensCrafters by providing measurement insights for marketing and business initiatives. The Contactor creates customer database and financial queries to create actionable business reports.

EXPERIENCE
• Must have proven database mining experience.
• 5 years of related experience including Database Analytics or Category Management

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Extracts fields and data along with creating reports from the customer database to deliver insights that contribute to customer acquisition and retention efforts.
• Creates and populates customer scorecards for LC Brand, retention, and acquisition programs.
• Works with Director to summarize and present results of analysis including insights and recommendations on action steps affecting Marketing strategies and tactics.
• Works with external database and marketing agencies to deliver against data and analytical requests.
• For queries that require external assistance, the Contractor manages external marketing analysis agencies to ensure analytic quality standards are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Leverages the customer database to design and implement sound analytic approaches to general marketing and business questions. Must be able to both design basic analyses as well as extract the customer data. Stronger emphasis on the extraction capability versus design.
• Able to link customer, marketing, and financial data to build actionable brand, customer and business insights with the assistance of Director
• Takes direction from Director to ensure proper execution of project designs.
• Closely follows project execution to track metrics and make the Director aware of potential disruptions/delays.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Ability to extract customer and financial data to specification.
• Advanced skills in writing SQL queries to analyze, manipulate data, investigate data problems, develop and modify reports.
• Experience with business intelligence systems such as Business Objects.
• Ability to probe and diagnose brand requirements with an understanding of how to leverage database and/or financial analyses to provide insights.
• Must have demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to define a marketing problem, develop and gain alignment on the plan, and complete analyses that deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
• Excellent project management, written and oral communication skills.

EDUCATION
• Bachelors degree required. Degrees in Finance, Quantitative analysis, or Economics preferred.
