Marketing Analyst

Aquent is looking for a Marketing Analyst for our client, a top retailer, who can provide analysis in support of Merchant and Marketing groups.

This position will be expected to deliver actionable business intelligence analysis and will be instrumental in developing processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of that analysis.

Essential Functions:
- Support Marketing Managers with analytical insights and recommendations
- Plan and forecast business results across marketing tactics – Email Marketing, Paid Search, Natural Search, Affiliate Marketing, Display Marketing
- Identify business trends and shifts, and recommend data-driven responses to the Marketing organization
- Organize and manage cross-tactic marketing data
- Standardize and broaden marketing metric reporting and tracking
- Develop new ways of viewing and analyzing marketing data
- Conduct research on and provide insight into industry / competitive marketing trends
- Stay informed about, communicate, and apply new or current trends and best practices in online marketing

Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- BA/BS in a quantitative field from a 4-year program.
- 3+ years of work experience in an analytical role.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills necessary, and one or more of the following: SAS, web analytics tools like - Coremetrics or Omniture, Epiphany, Marin, Brightedge, Linkshare.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, and online marketing.
- Be able to translate data analysis into business recommendations.
