Marketing Analyst

The Marketing Analyst is responsible for providing cogent and timely analysis in support of the Merchant and Marketing groups. This position will be expected to deliver actionable business intelligence analysis.

Essential Functions:
-Plan and forecast business results across marketing tactics – Email Marketing, Paid Search, Natural Search, Affiliate Marketing, Display Marketing
-Organize and manage cross-tactic marketing data
-Help automate marketing metric reporting and tracking
-Develop new ways of viewing and analyzing marketing data

Qualifications:

Education/Experience
-Have a BA/BS in a quantitative field from a 4-year program.
-Have 1-2 years of work experience in an analytical role.
-General Analytics most important, Web Analytics nice to have.
-Have the ability to approach complex challenges in an organized manner.
-Be willing and able to learn new concepts and software applications quickly and thoroughly.
-Basic to intermediate SQL skills necessary
-Other nice-to-have tools:: SAS, web analytics tools like Coremetrics or Omniture, Epiphany, Marin, Brightedge, Linkshare.
-Have an interest in the areas of e-commerce, retail, and online marketing.

Mathematical Skills
-Math background helpful. Prior experience creating mathematically rigorous forward looking sales plans.

Reasoning Ability
-Possess an analytical mindset and demonstrable critical thinking skills.
-Possess strong organizational and time management skills, with an attention to detail.
-Confidently handle multiple projects simultaneously and under deadlines.
