Market Specialist

Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is looking for a Market Specialist on a 5+ month contract basis.

Responsibilities:

Act as a process consultant and subject matter expert to support the growth and development of the Young Personal Market and Multicultural Markets. In this position, the incumbent will independently:

• Responsible for execution of operating plan tactics to grow the markets as needed.
• Support project management needs and infrastructure.
• Participates in market projects and initiatives. Independently seeks and implements forward-thinking solutions. Uses independent judgment and business knowledge, researches information sources, gains consensus, documents results and revise materials as needed.
• Execution of necessary communications, including marketing materials, presentations and Intranet content.
• Responsible for collaborating with stakeholders/contacts in product lines, planning and sales and agency in order to support sales operations.
• Communications (field and home office): develops field and home office presentations on young personal market and multicultural market topics.
• Metrics: Execute and maintain leading measures for a market dashboard.
• Takes initiative and leverages resources to independently execute work on behalf of the market strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

• College degree in marketing, communications or related field. Ability to gather relevant information systematically; consider a broad range of issues; grasp complexities and perceive relationships among problems.
• Minimum of 1-3 year’s experience/knowledge in business processes to include marketing, communication, training and field interaction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently
• Planning/Process Management: Demonstrated ability to scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; ability to set objectives and goals. Excellent ability at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done, ability to organize people and activities and understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow.
•Experience working on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
