Vitamin T client in Herndon VA is looking for a contract Market Researcher to manage and execute market research projects and assist in report writing, data analysis, interviewing,…The Market Research Manager will be tasked with assisting in and leading qualitative and quantitative research projects that drive business decisions. These studies are normally conducted with parents, students, and teachers. Specifically, the market research manager will:
- Write/edit questionnaires, program surveys, analyze findings, write reports and make presentations for client’s in-house quantitative projects.
- Plan, arrange, moderate, and conduct in-person and online user testing, home visits, IDI s, and online bulletin boards and write and present reports of findings for qualitative in-house projects.
- Work under the direction of the Research Director in internal client communication and developing and communicating research plans
- Convey client’s business objectives to vendors for outsourced studies. Work with vendors and manage the relationship, assure vendors deliver a high quality deliverables (qualitative and quantitative)
- Work with the Research Director to ensure that all research activities are completed accurately, on time, within budget, and with high quality

Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Additional Job Details:

Job Requirements: Bachelors/Master’s degree in Marketing, Social Sciences, Business, Math or related field
- 4-6 years of experience in market research (qualitative and quantitative) and Web site usability testing in client side and/or vendor side or a combination of both education and experience
- Experience in conducting in-person and online qualitative research (focus groups, in depth interviews (IDI s), usability testing, bulletin boards) is a plus
- Working knowledge/familiarity with SPSS
- Experience with statistical analysis of quantitative data and analyzing qualitative data
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of key market research tools & techniques such as online surveys and bulletin boards, IDI s, usability testing, etc.
- Experience in working with and managing vendors.
- Must be comfortable communicating with internal clients and presenting to senior level management.
- Working knowledge of Web survey design tools (ex: Vovici, Insight Express, Confirmit) is preferred.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
