Market Research Customer Insights Professional

 

A project-based Insights Analyst is needed to temporarily support the Market & Consumer Insights team at Best Buy.  The primary purpose of this team is to support enterprise decision-making and strategy development by providing relevant industry, brand and consumer insights—to ensure they are shared, understood, and used in service of the customer and the growth of the enterprise.

 

This position will be responsible for a variety of insights project-based tasks, such as:

  • Creating PowerPoint slides and reports from qualitative and quantitative data sets
  • Coding of open-end verbatim responses
  • Proofreading and editing internal deliverables
  • Project management and communication
  • Vendor management and communication
  • Testing and quality control of survey programming
  • Analysis and reporting of secondary data related to the project’s learning objectives

 

Tools available to help the Analyst complete their tasks:

  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Confirmit (Survey Software Tool)
  • Secondary Data Portals
  • Existing Primary Data and Reports
  • SPSS

 

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Familiar with primary research methodologies (through prior work or school experience)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understands statistical significance testing
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Curious and motivated to learn
  • Collaborative and flexible

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Basic:

·         Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of: market research, psychology, statistics, mathematics, generalized marketing or business

·         2 years’ experience in market research, analytics, marketing, or consumer research

·         2 years' project management experience

·         Experience creating, managing, and reporting from quantitative and / or qualitative research projects (focus groups, surveys, in-depth-interviews)

·         Ability to work with autonomy as well as collaboratively with team members

·         Experience communicating findings in an effective and meaningful way to organizational partners    

·         Demonstrated experience presenting insights or data to internal or external clients

·         Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and work productively and efficiently under pressure

·         Ability to translate business questions and issues into research projects

 

 

Preferred:

·      Advanced degree (MBA, Masters of Marketing Research)

·      Ability to perform and interpret statistical procedures such as regression, correlations, multi-variate and factor analysis       

·      Ability to create models that articulate key drivers of an intended outcome based on survey results

·      Utilizing advanced statistical techniques to link customer research data to business outcomes

·      Proficiency with research tools such as Confirmit and SPSS
